The external company coordinator in accordance with DGUV V1 plays a decisive role in occupational health and safety and contributes significantly to ensuring the safety and health of all employees involved. In accordance with the provisions of DGUV Regulation 1, the employer is obliged to appoint an external company coordinator if external companies are working on the company premises.

A sound professional qualification is essential for the activities of the external company coordinator. As external company coordinator you have the following tasks and duties:

• Coordination and monitoring of compliance with safety measures by external companies

• Identification and assessment of safety risks in connection with external company assignments

• Implementation of suitable protective measures to protect everyone involved on site

• Creation and updating of the external company coordination plan

• Advising those responsible for the planning and implementation of external company assignments with regard to occupational health and safety
