Testing covers all activities relating to the safety-related inspection of work equipment for its suitability and safety. It therefore makes an important contribution to ensuring a safe working environment.
Work equipment such as machines, ladders, shelving and lifting equipment must be inspected for safety and suitability regularly or at specified intervals in accordance with legal requirements. This is intended to prevent accidents caused by defective or worn equipment.
In accordance with the Playground Ordinance, stationary play equipment is also subject to an inspection obligation which the operator must fulfil regularly.
